In the southern Toquima Range, north of Tonopah, we’ve detected 33 bird species on this sagebrush/pinyon-juniper site, including 6 conservation priorities. Gray Flycatchers were most abundant - plus Black-throated Gray Warbler & Spotted Towhee. Of the conservation priorities – other than Gray Flycatcher, most abundant were Green-tailed Towhees & Brewer's Sparrows. Pinyon Jays were also frequently recorded.
