Here, northwest of the Dogskin Mountains, we recorded 32 species, particularly Horned Larks, Lark Sparrows, Western Meadowlarks, Brewer's Sparrows and Gray Flycatchers.  But we also found Swainson's and Cooper's Hawks, and Prairie Falcons.  A portion of this transect was burned in 2017.
