West of the Sulphur Spring Range, this transect supported 28 species, with Brewer's Blackbirds, Western Meadowlarks and Mourning Doves most frequently detected.  Conservation priorities include Gray Flycatcher and Brewer's Sparrow. The transect burned in 1985.
