On December 14th at 7pm, GBBO outreach biologists, Kayla Henry and Ned Bohman will delve into Pinyon Jay conservation in the Great Basin. Pinyon Jays have been declining significantly in recent years, despite concerns over encroaching Pinyon Juniper woodland. Join us as we unravel this mystery of the bird declining while its “habitat” seems to be increasing. GBBO has put together a community science program using ESRI’s Survey123 app to help understand this problem. We will introduce this and explain how you can help GBBO and Pinyon Jays!
