Another rugged, remote, northern Great Basin count. The organizers of these counts have scheduled them so that it would be possible for some one to volunteer on multiple counts. Make it a fun trip and do several counts! Hart is on the 15th, Sheldon the 17th, and Winnemucca the 18th. For both the Hart & Sheldon counts, housing is available in the refuge fire-crew bunkhouses for the nights before and after the count. Courtesy of the Hart-Sheldon joint refuge complex folks with USFWS. Folks who help at Winnemucca have the option to bunk back at Sheldon again (and helping with final cleanup) before heading home.
