Rescheduled: January Lecture Series (in-person): How Do Changing Landscapes Influence Duck Survival? With UNR's Madeleine Lohman

  • Pigeon Head Brewery (map)

Join us at Pigeon Head Brewery on January 18th at 6:30pm. Do not be deterred by their winter hours, the brewery will remain open for these events. We’re excited to get together in-person for this installment of the January Lecture Series. Madeleine Lohman, of the University of Nevada, Reno will present some of her research on waterfowl in the prairie pothole region of the northern Great Plains. Specifically, she has been looking at the effects of environmental conditions on population dynamics of dabbling ducks. While this research takes place far from our region, ducks are migratory, and when their populations change, we see the effects here when wintering ducks arrive.

Please RSVP to outreach@gbbo.org if you are interested in attending.
