Get ready for the annual Nevada Bird-a-thon! This year, all funds raised will support GBBO’s desert thrasher research! What’s a Bird-a-thon, you say? It’s a fundraiser for conservation, where the more birds you see, the more funds you can raise! Prizes are awarded for most funds raised and most species seen in several categories. You can register as a team or an individual. Big Days are a single 24-hour period and Backyard teams keep a yard list for a two week period during the window of May 1 — 31st. Don’t like your backyard? Adopt one for the Bird-a-thon! Live in an urban setting? Don’t worry, you can compete against others registered in the urban yard category. The Nevada Bird-a-thon has something for everyone, experts and novices alike!
