Become a citizen-scientist! This BioBlitz will use the app iNaturalist to collect data and assemble an inventory of plants and animals. It is advised to have the iNaturalist app installed on a mobile device prior to arrival.

This event is open to the public and a free event. GBBO will be leading walks, discussing birds, and collecting data.

Park entrance fees are waived on June 8 for “Discover Nevada State Parks Day.”

WHERE: Walker River State Recreation Area, Pitchfork Ranch. Visitors can check-in at the Visitor Center, 211 E. Walker River Road, Yerington Nevada, 89447. Please note that the E. Walker River Rd. entrance off 208 is the only route to the Visitor Center. Minister Road is currently closed to through traffic and not accessible.
