GBBO’s next webinar installment will feature a multi-faceted discussion of Motus technology. Kevin DesRoberts, Kelly Colegrove, and Ned Bohman will discuss this up and coming technology as it relates to migration science, birds in Nevada, and outreach and education. Developed by Bird Studies Canada, this technology is rapidly gaining traction and changing the way researchers study bird migration and movement. Kevin Desroberts is the Wildlife Refuge Manager at Desert National Wildlife Refuge, home of Nevada’s first Motus receiving station. Kelly Colegrove is a project coordinator with GBBO and is involved with the Nevada Motus steering committee. Ned Bohman is an outreach coordinator with GBBO and will discuss the role of Motus in terms of outreach and education. This event will be free, but attendees are required to register beforehand.
