This year the 46th annual Western Field Ornithologists Conference is being held in Reno AND its GBBO’s 25th Anniversary! To celebrate this special occasion, on Thursday September 8th, the first day of the conference, GBBO is kicking off with an all day joint field trip to Pyramid Lake. GBBO staff, Lauren Harter and colleague, and local legend, Paul Hurtado will be leading this event. Pyramid Lake is a phenomenal spot to bird at any time of the year, but particularly during fall migration, anything could show up! There are 12 spaces available, so please register ASAP! The trip will be free for GBBO members and $10 for non-members. We will meet at the Whitney Peak Hotel and Conference Center on the 3rd floor at 6:30 AM and return to Reno around 4pm. GBBO will provide lunch, transportation is being organized by carpooling, on the morning of the event we will make these arrangements. Please contact outreach@gbbo.org with any questions.
