We invite you to bird with us as we stroll with us through the old tombstones at the Silver Terrace Cemetery in Virginia City and get into the Halloween spirit. In the spirit of the spooky season, Ben Sonnenberg will be leading this walk for the Great Basin Bird Observatory. Ben is a PhD candidate at University of Nevada, Reno and researches Mountain Chickadees in the area. In typical GBBO style, Ben will emphasize the science of birds, and explain why you are seeing what you are seeing.

This will be a great trip for beginning birders! While 8 AM may not be the spookiest hour, it’ll be easier to see birds this way. This trip will be free, but, as always, your donations are greatly appreciated!
