Join GBBO’s Ned Bohman for the next installment of the Earbirding sessions at Spooner Lake State Park. We will meet at the parking area on the north side of highway 50 at Spooner Summit. Given the elevation, this location may have to be revised, depending on snowmelt conditions. Typically we can start to explore higher elevations at this time of year. In June, migrants have mostly arrived to their final destinations and most will be tending nests, while residents might be on to their second brood. On this walk, we will focus on differences in the function of vocalizations heard at other times of year. With general levels of bird activity hitting high points at this time of year, this will be a great opportunity to link bird appearances with bird sounds!
There are limited spaces available for this event, so please RSVP ASAP to outreach@gbbo.org.
