Migratory Bird Walk: Relocated

  • Crystal Peak Park 561 Crystal Park Rd Verdi, NV, 89439 United States (map)

Ned Bohman will lead attendees on this walk at Crystal Peak Park in Verdi. The month of September is prime time for songbird migration. Originally planned for Davis Creek, but relocated due to unforeseen forces of nature. By this point in the year, most songbirds are on the move. The birds we will be seeing are likely not the same individuals that spent their summer here, but likely from parts further north. The habitat at Davis Creek is great for many migrants, including warblers, vireos, flycatchers, grosbeaks, and tanagers of several species. This is an exciting time of year for birding, we could be surprised what we find!

There are limited spaces available, so reserve yours today with an RSVP to outreach@gbbo.org. We will meet in the Parking Lot on the right side of the road, opposite the ranger’s quarters, just before you enter the gated park area.
