Desert Thrasher Workshop

Great Basin Bird Observatory is offering a Desert Thrasher Survey Workshop! Dawn Fletcher and Lauren Harter are our Thrasher team, and they are coming to town. LeConte’s and Bendire’s Thrasher are both experiencing steep population declines, and GBBO’s previous work has demonstrated the importance of Avi Kwa Ame to both species. This workshop will cover life history, behavior and identification, conservation concerns, and survey techniques. The workshop will be held in the classroom and in the field, see details below.
